Editor's Note
Along with accounts that the mosque and minaret on the site date back to the Seljuk period, with an original construction date of 1255, it is understood that they reached their present form through repairs in the 19th century. Affected by the earthquake of 6 February 2023, the mosque and minaret were restored by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism together with the IC Ibrahim Cecen Foundation.
