Editor's Note
To control the violent floods flowing from the Hacikurus Stream that passes near St. Pierre Church, this was built as a high, sturdy wall continuing the line of the city walls across the deep, narrow valley separating Mount Habib-i Neccar from Hacdagi. It also served as one of the city's entrance gates, and it took this name because it was protected with iron bars. This wall still stands today and can be seen by following the road beside St. Pierre Church.
