Editor's Note

This two-story masonry building was most likely built with a commercial ground floor and a residential upper floor. The ground floor consists of a space with four pointed arches running parallel to Ataturk Boulevard and narrower service rooms to its east. The space can be entered from three sides. The upper floor is reached by a staircase leaning against the building on the west side of a narrow courtyard, accessed through a round-arched gate on the eastern edge of the street. This floor has an inner-hall plan running parallel to Ataturk Boulevard, with rooms on the two broad sides of the hall.
