Editor's Note
The Olba Aqueduct is a Roman aqueduct in the Silifke district of Mersin Province, about 4 km east of the sanctuary of Diocaesarea (Uzuncaburç) and near the capital of the Olban kingdom. According to its inscription it was built in 199 by the Roman emperor Septimius Severus; repairs that probably began under the Byzantine emperor Justinian I were completed in 566 under Justin II. The aqueduct is largely ruined today.
