The ancient city of Astra is located on the Bolat plateau, known as the highland pasture of the Bolat neighbourhood in the Hadim district of Konya province. Academic studies place this ancient city in the 2nd century AD (Bahar, H., Settlement Centres of the Isaura Region in Antiquity, pp. 8-9). Astra was a small city attached to the province of Isaura in the Roman period. In terms of touristic appeal, only the ancient theatre has survived to the present day. In addition, archaeological work in the city has revealed the Temple of Zeus Astragos, a basilica, a temple-plan monumental tomb and heroa.
