Editor's Note
This is a registered archaeological site of the Roman and Byzantine periods located within the boundaries of the Ayaş neighbourhood of the Erdemli district in Mersin province. The site was identified during the Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment studies carried out by REGIO Cultural Heritage Management Consultancy, and was declared a protected site and taken under protection by the Adana Regional Conservation Board. The archaeological site is a fortress settlement on a commanding hilltop.
