Editor's Note
The Antonine Fountain is a historic fountain in the ancient city of Sagalassos in the Ağlasun district of Burdur. It was built between AD 161 and 180 during the reign of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius as a display of imperial prestige. Roughly 28 metres long and 9 metres high, the structure was adorned with symbols and statues dedicated to the god Dionysus. It collapsed and was buried by an earthquake around the 6th century AD.
