Editor's Note
Ekmekçi Baba Kabri is a graveyard on Fevzi Paşa Avenue in the Edirnekapı quarter of Istanbul's Fatih district, where Hacı Mehmed Muhyiddin Efendi, the chief baker of Sultan Mehmed II, was buried. When he died in 874 AH he was interred in the courtyard of the mosque he had built here; the mosque has not survived and a petrol station now stands on its site. The walled, protected graveyard sits beside the Mihrimah Sultan Bathhouse.
