Editor's Note
It stood between Otakçılar and Savaklar, at the junction of Namazgâh Street and Çırçır Street. It was located in the courtyard behind the still-extant Namazgâh Fountain, which is built of finely cut stone and whose water flows continuously. Today, shanty houses stand on the site. In the 1950s, the prayer-ground stone was dumped beside the Çoban Fountain, which locals call the Jewish Fountain, at the junction of Yeni Kuşak Street and Meşatlık Street. Although it was dug up from underground and re-erected during a sewer excavation in 1974, it later disappeared. The date on which the mihrab stone was placed is unknown.
