Editor's Note
1- The building is in good condition in terms of its overall plan; it was observed that the interior and exterior wall surfaces have been painted, the windows replaced with PVC, and the outer plaster has flaked off in places. Currently used as a museum displaying the equipment of the old wireless station, the building is single-storey, nearly square in a rectangular plan, with a hipped roof, and is of masonry construction. Source: Conservation Boards. 2- In 1912 the British identified the most ideal wetland site for a wireless station and established it in this area like a small town. By the 1920s it housed both a Marconi system and a Telefunken system.
