Editor's Note
Converted from an old Byzantine church into a mosque, much of it was later renewed after it fell into ruin. Fetih Gazi of the Danishmendids had the apse of a large church converted into a mosque and named it the Fethiye Mosque. A minaret was added in 1883 by İnce Zade Hacı Mehmet Arif. Since only a small part of the Byzantine church remains standing and the mosque's walls are entirely covered with white-washed plaster, it is not possible to identify the original wall remains.
