Editor's Note
Its history goes back to 1930. Because Bursa had no suitable stadium for matches to be played, the need for a stadium arose. When Ataturk learned of this, he donated 1,000 Turkish Lira for the construction of a football pitch. Later, Governor Kemal Gedelek secured a further 2,000 Turkish Lira. A concrete grandstand with a capacity of 400 was built at the walled-in stadium. This stadium was demolished in 1950 and a modern stadium was built in its place. That new stadium was in turn demolished in 2016.
