Editor's Note
Hüseyindede Höyüğü is a mound in the Sungurlu district of Çorum, about 2 km south of the town of Yörüklü, and is also known as Hüseyindede Tepe. Excavations revealed it to be an Early Hittite cult center, with no structures other than cult buildings and no evidence of a large settlement. Surveys in 1997 led to the discovery of the famous Hüseyindede vases, which depict dancers, musicians, processions and figures somersaulting over a bull in Anatolian style.
