Editor's Note
It stands on the face of Kumkale Fortress looking out over the strait. The redoubt, still sound today, lies within a military zone, and entry is prohibited. Because it shares similar features with the Seddülbahir Redoubt, it is thought to have been built during the reign of Abdülhamid II. It was registered by the Çanakkale Regional Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage by decision no. 5735, dated 22 October 2019.
