Ibrahimsah Han lies in the village of Hanibrahimsah, 16 km northwest of Elazig, on the Harput-Divrigi road. It bears no inscription, but it is known that the walls of its wide courtyard stood for a time. However, some caravanserais, such as Altinapa and Ibrahimsah Han, ended up submerged beneath dam waters. Moreover, with the shifting of trade routes and the emergence of different modes of transport, many caravanserais and caravan roads fell out of use and gradually disappeared.
