Editor's Note
Norşuntepe is a tell, or archaeological settlement mound, located about 26 km south-east of Elazığ city. The site was occupied between the Chalcolithic and Iron Age and was excavated between 1968 and 1974. It is now partially submerged by Lake Keban, formed after the Keban Dam was completed in 1975.
