Alinda is an ancient Carian city in the Karpuzlu district of Aydın, set on the slopes above the Karpuzlu Plain. It is notable for its extensive, large-scale ruins and its commanding view over the plain below. Modern scholars identify Alinda with the Hellenistic foundation of Alexandria ad Latmum recorded by Stephanus of Byzantium.
