Editor's Note
The village where the mosque stands was largely expropriated in 2012 by GELİ (the South Aegean Lignite Enterprises) and relocated to Yeşilbağcılar Village. Built in 1908, the mosque has not been used since 2012, as access to the area is no longer permitted, and it is at risk of demolition because of the mining operations. There is talk of relocating the mosque and the tomb in its courtyard, just as the village itself was moved.
