Editor's Note
Myus (also Myous, Myos or Myes) was an ancient Greek city in the historic region of Caria, near the village of Avşar in the Söke district of Aydın, just north of Lake Bafa. It was one of the twelve Ionian cities that made up the Ionian League. Together with Miletus and Priene it was one of three cities speaking the same Ionic subdialect, all Ionian colonies set at the mouth of the Maeander River on the west coast of Anatolia.
